By accessing or using BuildVue (buildvue.co), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

BuildVue is a web-based platform that aggregates public building permit and development data for the Seattle metro area in Washington. We provide tools to search, filter, visualize, and export this data.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use BuildVue.

BuildVue offers a free trial period followed by paid subscription plans. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.

BuildVue aggregates data from public government sources and makes reasonable efforts to present it accurately. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data. Users should verify critical information through official government sources before making business decisions.

You agree not to use BuildVue for any unlawful purpose, attempt to scrape or bulk download data beyond normal usage, interfere with the operation of the service, or resell access to the platform without authorization.

You may not access BuildVue by automated means — including scraping, crawling, spiders, headless browsers, or scripted requests — except through our documented API using a valid API key issued to your account. You may not bulk-extract, systematically download, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or create derivative datasets from the data or any data derived from it, whether obtained through the interface, data exports, or the API. You may not circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with rate limits, access controls, authentication, or usage quotas. All data exports are fingerprinted to the exporting account. Violation of this section is a material breach of these terms and may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund, in addition to any other remedies available to us.

BuildVue is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to lost profits, business interruption, or data loss.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or by posting a notice on the website. Continued use of BuildVue after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
